Women's Cricket
Cricket Hungary is actively working on multiple fronts to establish a vibrant and inclusive women’s cricket community. With a strong focus on long-term development, we are committed to creating more opportunities for women and girls to engage with the sport. Whether they’re picking up a bat for the first time, training with the National Team coach, or by joining a team.
Throughout the year, we are running programs, training sessions, and the new league that allow women to experience the joy and challenge of cricket. These initiatives are designed not only to build skill and confidence but also to foster camaraderie and a love for the game that so many women around the world already share.
The 2025 season has seen the formation of two established women’s teams based in Budapest, something not seen in Hungary for the past 10 years. These teams are now competing in the newly launched HCA Women’s Development League, this landmark achievement in our mission to grow the sport locally.
Our ultimate goal is to raise awareness about the rise of women’s cricket in Hungary and to inspire similar growth throughout Central and Eastern Europe. With every match, practice session, and recruit, we are building an inclusive future where cricket is a sport for everyone, regardless of gender, background, or experience.
